Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech → Imlil → Tizi Mzik Pass → Tizi Oussem Village
After breakfast in Marrakech, enjoy a scenic private drive (~65km) south through the Haouz Plain, passing Oued Ghighaya and Asni. Upon arrival in Imlil, meet your certified Berber guide and mule team to begin your trek. The trail climbs steadily to Tizi Mzik Pass (2,684m), rewarding you with spectacular views of the Imlil Valley and distant Toubkal summit. Descend into the Azzaden Valley, stopping at the impressive Tamsoulte Waterfalls before winding through fragrant juniper forests. Arrive at Tizi Oussem village for the night. Approx. 6 hours walking | Overnight in a local guesthouse.
Day 2: Tizi Oussem → Tizi Oudid Pass → Walnut Groves → Marrakech
Wake to mountain sunshine and explore the colorful Azzaden Valley before continuing your trek. Cross the gentle Tizi Oudid Pass (2,000m) and descend through the wild thurifer juniper forest toward Matat village. Enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch under ancient walnut groves beside a clear mountain river. In the afternoon, transfer back to Marrakech, arriving around 5:00 PM. Approx. 5 hours walking | Return transfer included.
