Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech → Imlil – Welcome to the High Atlas

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your Marrakech accommodation or airport at 9:00 AM. Enjoy a scenic ~1.5-hour drive south through the Haouz Plain to the mountain village of Imlil (1,740m), the gateway to the High Atlas. Upon arrival, settle into your guesthouse, meet your guide, and relax with mint tea while taking in panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. In the evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner featuring authentic Moroccan cuisine. Overnight in Imlil. Meals: Dinner | Accommodation: Guesthouse.

Day 2: Imlil → Toubkal Refuge (3,207m) via Mizane Valley

After breakfast, begin your trek along the Mizane Valley, passing through terraced farms, walnut groves, and the traditional village of Aremd. Continue to the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, a sacred site for pilgrims and travelers alike. The trail then climbs steadily over rocky paths and mule tracks, ascending toward the snowline and the Toubkal Refuge (3,207m), your base for the night. Approx. 5 hours walking | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Accommodation: Mountain Refuge.

Day 3: Summit Day – Jebel Toubkal (4,167m) → Return to Imlil

Rise before dawn for your summit attempt. Guided by experienced local mountaineers, you’ll navigate the south cirque and cross high-altitude scree fields toward the ridge. The terrain is straightforward but physically demanding due to altitude and loose rock. Upon reaching the plateau, a final short walk leads to the Mount Toubkal summit (4,167m), where you’ll be rewarded with uninterrupted 360° views stretching from the Marrakech plains to the Sahara. After celebrating your achievement, descend steadily back to Imlil for a well-earned rest and celebration dinner. Approx. 8-9 hours round-trip | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Accommodation: Guesthouse.

Day 4: Imlil → Marrakech (Departure)

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast in Imlil before your private transfer back to Marrakech, departing around 10:00 AM.
